New navigational dangers marks are newly discovered dangers and still not mentioned in nautical publications. Here natural and artificial obstacles (sand reefs, cliffs, wrecks, etc.) are included.

New navigational danger marks should be placed as near as possible to the danger, within the region where subsequently some other marks will be placed and should remain there:

• until new navigational danger become known and detailed information about that is given in nautical publications;
• until complete researches are made and all details about their position and the smallest depth above them is ascertained;
• until permanent marking is done.
