(for the users of aids to navigation in the internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia)

Tariff Regulations

Domestic and foreign ships, technical vessels, yachts and boats (hereinafter ''vessels'') pay for the use of aids to navigation in the internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia.

The following will be considered a vessel:

  • a ship with length over 12 m and GT over 15, or a ship which transports more than 12 passengers; a ship can be a passenger ship, a carrier of various loads and a ship intended for scientific researches;
  • a boat with length over 2,5 m or having a total engine power over 5 kW;
  • a yacht with length over 12 m which cannot transport more than 12 passengers, crew included.

The fee to be paid is calculated on month or year's basis. Monthly fee is paid for 30 days starting from the day of ship's arrival into a port or to an anchorage within internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia. Annual fee is paid for 12 months starting from the day of ship's arrival into a port or to an anchorage within internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia.

For the vessels which have already paid the fee a new obligation to pay will start on the first day after the expiration of the period for which the fee was paid.

Ships in cabotage, defined in Article 9 of Maritime Regulations, pay an annual fee for the year to come.

The unit for calculation of fees for all vessels is GT (gross tonnage). If a vessel has no GT quoted, for ships and technical vessels without their own drive DWT shall be used as a calculation unit, while kW shall be used for tugs.

Domestic vessels shall pay in Croatian currency, while foreign vessels shall pay in foreign currency. Domestic vessels are the vessels which have the flag of the Republic of Croatia, without regard of ownership, while foreign vessels are those which have foreign flag, without regard to ownership.

In accordance with Article 50 and 52 of Maritime Regulations, the fee to be paid for the use of aids to navigation on fairways of the Republic of Croatia is paid to Plovput d.o.o. Split.
