During 2002 Plovput introduced the Quality Control System according to requests of the International Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000. In December 2011 this certificate was confirmed by the Croatian Register of Shipping (ISO 9001:2008).
The reason for introducing of this system was to make working processes and documentation more simple and to control them, to better define responsibilities and relations, as well as to raise the level of consciousness in relation to work and to provide necessary level of safety of navigation to the satisfaction of all its users.
The Quality Control System is described in Quality Control Manual, while the aim of Plovput's quality control and the way for its realization are described in Policy of Quality. In Operating procedures processes indispensable for functioning of Quality control system are described, as well as the way in which they are controlled, ways of measurement and analyses of working processes and products, carrying out of activities which assure the realization of set goals and a constant improvement of the System. This is described in details in 8 procedures of quality control. Important working processes, directly related to the basic activity of Plovput which is safety of navigation, are described in 10 working processes and they are only for internal use.
